Our price does not go up at renewal: 40 lei stays 40 lei, year after year.

Domain registration is not covered by the 14-day withdrawal right (Romanian OUG 34/2014, EU consumer law), because the service is performed immediately.

Who runs the .ro extension
RoTLD, the national registry for .ro domains. RoLeaf is a RoTLD-accredited registrar: we register the domain in the official registry, under your details.
Who can register
Any individual or company, from Romania or abroad. There is no residency requirement.
For how long
From 1 to 10 years, paid upfront. You can extend at any time from your client account.
Who owns the domain
You do, 100%. Your details appear in the RoTLD registry and you get direct access to the official RoTLD panel at rotld.ro/domadmin with your email address. On first login use “Reset password” to set your password. You can move the domain to another registrar at any time, without our approval.
Which names are allowed
Letters, digits and hyphens, between 2 and 63 characters. It cannot start or end with a hyphen.
What happens at expiry
You get email notifications before the deadline. After expiry there is a grace period where you renew normally, then a more expensive redemption period. We recommend auto-renewal.
